After much introspection, I’ve come to realize that my purpose in life is to convert as many people as possible to a life of books, cats, scones, and Oxford commas.

The first book of today was Still Life by Sarah Winman.

My best friend is reading this at the moment, and has apologised to me for taking so long to read it. He loves it, obviously.

If you have a hashtag with multiple words, write the hashtag in #PascalCase or #camelCase to help users of screen readers. That helps the screen reader to read out the words out individually, rather than trying to read them in one long word.

This squirrel at the ancient marketplace seemed completely unfazed by us. Turns out he was a bit of a thief, nicking things off the stalls. He's rather adorable.

poetry prompt of the week: have you ever had a dream that stuck with you? can you take me through it? create a map of it as detailed as you can? write about what stood out the most. a color, an object, a person, a feeling? do it with curiosity at every turn. dreams are saturated with meaning.

Okay but hear me out:

A nighttime café in which the only lighting comes from candles and lanterns, the walls are adorned with van Gogh paintings, after-dark espressos and croissants are the popular specials, and a spooky book reading occurs during every full moon.

"What does your infernal device do?" Captain Clever asked while locking the handcuffs.

"It's a hopebeam," Dr. Dastard said. "When I start it, everyone in the city will find hope that things can change."

"Why?"

"So they'll get disappointed and buy my ice cream to cope."

"Hm. How do i turn it on?"
