Last day in Scotland. Made it to the full cast Wynonna Earp panel at EarpFest and really hoping there’s another Earp con announced in the near future. There’s nothing better than hanging out with Earpers and hearing from the cast.

I really wish we had more time in Scotland so I could spend some time looking at records and looking for graves for our Scottish ancestors. We made a stop in Dundee where some of our Stark and Rattray ancestors are from and were involved in ship building and related industries.

Next weekend I had planned to be in the UP, hiking three days on the North. Country Trail and covering my first 35-50 miles in my effort to get 300 miles in the UP this year. The weather has super derailed these plans. Picture from my hike at a MI state park today, definitely didn’t stop at the sign

My toddlers favorite toy is a small plush unicorn she calls baby unicorn and it’s been missing for days. I’ve searched everywhere and have no idea, and of course it seemed like something someone gave us so I have no idea where it came from or if it was even made in the last ten years.

So much of my free time is spent planning for our trip to Scotland for EarpFest, after really enjoying some of his videos I just got Graeme Johncock’s book and its lovely of course. I am working on an itinerary to see as much in a week as possible. #EarpFest

Need to find a new home for our puppy. Jack Russel terrier, unfixed male. Has had his first shots. Great with little kids and other dogs, not meant to be a farm dog. In Michigan.

Had a great time at the Detroit Pistons game tonight with my son, since our tickets were part of a large group deal we each got a free Pistons hat and got to shoot a free throw after the game. And they won so it was a pretty good night.

This probably 700 pound boar that I have is just a giant baby. The three young chickens hang out in the pig pen and my husband just went out to do evening chores to find the three chickens chilling on Busters rump.

Toddler parents can recognize the sound of a child dumping out snacks or a drink from a mile away. Just heard Lily dump out her bowl of Cheerios, she’s undoubtedly found a more suitable location for them.

I can’t even explain how awesome it is to have hiked every North Country Trail mile in Michigan’s lower peninsula (around 617 miles). This is my first big hiking goal I’ve finished and I can’t wait to start the UP. I had the most random section as my last so no great scenery but it was peaceful.

So I guess I’m going to San Francisco?! I might have spur of the moment bought a ticket to see Middle Aged Dad Jam Band and Kathryn Hahn, now I just need to plan a trip across the country. 🤷🏼♀️

This is probably one of my least favorite seasons, I love the holidays but everything outside is brown and I find it depressing.
