I don’t think the lesson of 2024 should be “we can only run a straight white man in 2028.”
In 2020 we said the US wasn’t ready for a gay man, despite all the data showing otherwise and despite a gay man winning Iowa and a tie NH.
Maybe next time we should just listen to people like we did in 2008.
