With Handmaids Tale people focus on the shock of the mass rapes in the book and the show.

But how the regime came to be in power in that book keeps me awake at night because it is playing out in very intricate detail in our real lives right now.

I can't escape the news or clips from the "un-auguration" and it's literally making me feel ill... I'm doing everything I can to not see, but when I get a glimpse, unexpectedly, I am shaken with fear of what's to come but also ready (yet again) to fight back 🤯
