My husband told me he died, and my immediate response was “good.” I have lived and worked in Cambodia, and that asshole can burn.

I live in a neighborhood called Bay View and sometimes people abbreviate it as BV… and I cannot.

Hello fellow skysters!

I'm an epidemiologist at the University of Leeds with an interest in causality.

Most of my content is about the awesomeness of epidemiology, geeky stuff about causal inference, or angry stuff about academia.

My proudest moment on social media is making the meme below.

I tried the arm circles and if it did anything, I’m in horror of how bad it would’ve been otherwise!

I take solace in the the idea that at least I mounted a solid immune response! 😂

😂 getting flashbacks to all the times I had to call the sponsor because something wasn’t behaving on the platform! And every sponsor has their own homebrewed page that looks like it was built in 2004. Why can’t we all just use REDCap?

Oof, I worked in clinical research for years and it is SO painful. And with the amount of red tape, recruitment issues, and strict inclusion/exclusion criteria, I’m often skeptical of the conclusions that are drawn. Gimme a well designed observational study over a typical RCT any day!

Every intro PH course needs to address racism as a public health issue. David Williams’ Racism and Health (2019) is a great overview, but any of his work is a great addition to a reading list.
