If we’re going to have to go back to ad based entertainment I would rather we get the full network tv experienced rather than the same StateFarm ad at every awkwardly timed ad break.

it makes me feel more than a little nuts that near-universally we as a society understand Ebenezer Scrooge (pre-ghost visits) to be a mean bad man who we should not be like, and yet so many treat the poor with his same attitude of “Are there no prisons? Are there no workhouses?”
