A very interesting guest post about the term DoL. This is something I've noticed when observing Court of Protection hearings too. I came across this recently about Relevant Person's Representative (RPR), in an easy-read document from an advocacy organisation. The S stands for safeguards of course

Following the recommendation of @capacitylaw.bsky.social , I did read the book written by him and Camilla Kong and it was fascinating! Anyone interested in capacity assessments should read it.

Has anybody seen an injunction as wide-ranging as this one in the Court of Protection, extending as far as the family of health care professionals? In a Transparency Order that I was sent this week for a hearing I observed back in October. It’s for a research project I’m working on. Thanks!

I’m only at the start of my academic life but I am inspired by this article written by @kitzingercelia.bsky.social and @jennykitzinger.bsky.social. And I feel very lucky to be supported by them both with my PhD research now. I’m learning so much from them already.

I waited over an hour outside Court 39 to observe this in person hearing listed at 11.30 am - when nothing happened by 12.20 I rang the court , to be told it had been concerted to a remote hearing by MS Teams . This isn’t open justice @kitzingercelia.bsky.social
