What an easy governing philosophy Republicans have. Just blame every problem on Biden, Democrats, and migrants. Then you never have to solve anything and can blame all your failures on other people. This is especially useful when you are grossly unqualified for your position.

i don’t play pundit and try to guess how stuff will play to voters whose politics generally make no sense to me, but if ending the shutdown was about the important business of getting SNAP benefits and air travel back online, it also rewards hostage taking in a way that seems pretty ominous to me

As long as NYT is asking “Did women ruin the workplace” can they also ask:
•Did men ruin safe workplaces?
•Did men ruin domestic safety?
•Did men ruin public safety?
•Did men ruin global peace?
Or is a clear “YES” to all these questions just too difficult for fragile men to accept—so NYT avoids it?🤔

This is awful. These Americans deserve to be honored! Restore the monuments and erect more. History is being rewritten and erased and it is fucking wrong!
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

I’m still on FB for the Marketplace a memories of past posts pop up that I still like reminisce about. This one popped up today and seems relevant to things I’ve felt throughout the year.

It's not "budgetary Twister," it's willfully violating Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 of the Constitution.

Just because President Trump chooses to ignore Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 does not mean that the NYT should pretend Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 does not exist.

People think if you’re disabled your family must support you

They don’t understand how many folks are on their own

How many have families who can’t support them for various reasons

Everyone deserves help

Having your basic needs met is not “frivolous”

Lacking family shouldn’t be a death sentence

A thread…
You know what?

When the United States actually takes care of a of the people within its borders, I'll consider being respectful or grateful to this country. But for now, what I see is a country founded on multiple genocides doing its level best to either deny those genocides ever happened,

Balance in life is BS.

To achieve almost anything, there are periods where you have to go all-in and singularly focus on one thing. That's fine.

The key is being able to step back when YOU choose to.
