If someone is convicted of felon level non violent drug offenses, after completing their sentence they should be able to run for an elected office.

My statement is being a convicted felon by itself should not disqualify someone from running for office. However judges should be able to add to sentencing that someone is not allowed to hold public office

Disqualifying someone due to the crime being related to election fraud, crimes committed while being an elected official, etc absolutely. Same as how certain crimes carry lifetime restrictions
