If you're looking to test out a ViewComponent and your template uses current_user from Devise, this is pretty much the setup you need.

1. Include Devise::Test::ControllerHelpers + ViewComponent::TestHelpers
2. Use before_setup to define the request instance
3. Stub current_user

This specific one was interesting in that as I read the post, something just felt off. It didn't feel "natural" and when I asked Claude to expand on it - it explained very well why the post was likely AI generated.

I personally love that I can come back to my personal projects and merge in passing PR's that upgrade dependencies automatically. If you have a reliable test suite - it makes all the difference in keeping your project up to date.

There is a strange bug with Devise + Rails 8 where you might get a mapping test failure. If you do, you can implement the proposed solution in your test_helper.rb if you don't want to be on 5.0.0-beta.

If you're using ohmyzsh, you have access to aliases that help with using docker. To enable it, just add docker to your list of plugins in your .zshrc
