I LOVE this idea. More proof that @adrianhoward.com is a genius
Had a couple of conversations with folk recently about the joys of time sheets — and why tracking an individuals work is often / usually a terrible idea, as well being a PITA.

But it reminded me of a practice I've found super useful in the past when I've been forced to do it myself.

@zsk.bsky.social apologies if I'm one of many sharing this to you - have you seen this Meta back door story? Tracking billions of android phones, then quietly taking it off when the report was published: www.theregister.com/2025/06/03/m...
Meta Pixel halts Android localhost tracking after disclosure
: Zuckercorp and Yandex used localhost loophole to tie browser data to app users, say boffins

The public meltdown happening between the world’s richest man 🙄 and the President of the United States 🙄🙄 once again begs the age-old question: are men simply too emotional to be in positions of power?

If you haven't seen it yet you really must. Well done mate!
Honour and a pleasure to perform a private screening of #thevi4yldoc in Cannes last night. My mind is boggling from the insight shared in the room. Exciting times. Massive thanks to everyone who's made this happen, and the collective musical minds that were there

This week we talk about the differences between openAI models, why you shouldn't trust some folks about DeepSeek and what is a reasoning model anyway? Plus the usual links to upcoming events. Enjoy! www.linkedin.com/pulse/sense-...

I just cannot get it right using 2025 as the current year. This is the actual future right? Ai, robots, drones at war, apocalyptic wildfires...

Currently discussing with a male friend why using AI photos on a dating site is or is not the same as using Snapchat/beauty filters. I made these for a presentation but I wouldn't use them on my dating profile. He would.

This is a really excellent paper from Italy that shows that austerity fuels far right support. Part of the nostalgia for the past that the populists drew on is a nostalgia for a visible and effective public service. 1/
New paper published @ajpseditor.bsky.social

Showing that reduced access to public services fuelled far right support in 🇮🇹

Existing work on far right highlights globalization & migration grievances, what about people’s experiences with the state?

We use 🇮🇹 reform to find out

Oh, this is a sneaky, bad-faith wheeze.
Just when we think we've seen it all, along comes a PR agency weaponizing Creative Commons licenses

Insist the content of announcements and quotes from execs are CC licensed, requiring attribution -- fine -- but crucially, a link through to the source

Thus ensuring clients get links in articles

A lot of folks talk about "hyper-personalisation", I'm all for tailored messaging to groups... and I get re-targeting... is there any actual hard evidence for hyper-personalisation or good example/case studies out there?

I cannot speak Welsh.
How could this happen? Curious.

Well, Jaguar got so many folks rattled up didn't it. I do wonder if this will be London 2012 all over again. EVERYONE slated it. EVERYONE remembers it. Stood the test of time as being memorable & distinctive.
Do I/Did I like it, I don't know. Does that matter?
Maybe, just maybe we don't know yet.

Internet meet Boe. She's a 9yo rescue that needed a solo indoor home who came to live with me last week.
She's still a bit nervous but settling in well.

Thanks @fibowler.bsky.social for the antics of Reg & @hollybrocks.bsky.social for Smol Paul + co that in part inspired me to get an older rescue.

Just a suggestion... hold onto your old Twitter/X handle after you leave. Set it to private, delete all old tweets if needed but don't close it.

I've now seen two accounts with popular handles resurrected by porn bots, that had been abandoned.
