They could bring back the Party mechanic, but call it "Stable".

The way I see it, if there's an actual increase in flexibility, it'll give them more layers of complexity with which to make mistakes.

Yeah. That's literally why Rule Zero is so open-ended. It's funny that Brackets were designed to support and encourage Rule Zero conversation, and I feel like the Hybrid Mana debate undercuts that same point.

As a personal note, I have never felt deprived of hybrid mana cards. I have never wanted to put them in decks where they don't fit. If people do, there's a simple fix.

I wish people realized that we're living in a society. That people have inherent value, and that most folks just want to get through the day, and take care of the people that they love.
There's a callous viciousness at worst, and an indifference, at best to so much going on right now.

I have a theory that, to enjoy casual Commander, you should at best, be an 85% Magic player. Know what your cards do, and how they interact. But, expect to play suboptimally at times.
Play the "worse" version of a card/effect because it's funnier. Build with intent. Fun is the point.

I've had people at my LGS tell me that they show up to play with me, specifically. I can't think of a greater compliment. When you match vibes with people, that's when Commander is at its best.
Also, yeah. Not every deck has to be the best, most tuned version of itself.
