Wonderful news! - what an inspired choice to lead and support the team into 2026 💚💚💚

We kid ourselves we live in a participatory democracy. We don't. These guys have said often enough 'if you don't like it vote us out next election'. They want us to see it as a three-year cycle, with the period between elections as an unlimited mandate.

In Heretaunga Hastings the coverage was woeful. Hawke's Bay Today did the absolute bare minimum. No follow up on stuff like who's funding candidates, or dissecting TPU 'poll' methodology (result was quite different) - both topics sitting ducks for a keen journo with no risk of bias.

Ah yes. MVB never disappoints.

It's a poor argument. 'Yes, OK men commit far more crime, in fact more fraud ("more *important* fraud", said in Homer Simpson voice), but ... DECEITFUL FEMININITY!'

Also a gratuitous swipe at critical research; Martin's own research doesn't support his thesis.

I would prefer to stay here thanks. Loads of real estate freed up, many annoying knick-knacks to discard before moving in no doubt but I'm willing to bear that cross (oops!)
