We are legitimately looking at a genocide against trans people in the United States. That's not hyperbole. The Department of Justice isn't talking about disarming us so that we can all live quietly in peace.

The GOP spent years undermining legitimate uses of red flag laws, but as soon as they can spin it to harm trans people, they're all on board. Any rep talking about red flag laws regarding the shooting in Minneapolis are building an excuse to claim all trans people are too "mentally ill" to own guns.

I don't give a good god damn about Epstein's birthday book. I want to hear dems make concrete plans for protecting queer folk. How fucking hard is it to guarantee they'll pass the Equality Act if they get control back?

Newsom is what blue fascism looks like. He's misappropriation state resources to do a broadly unpopular policing effort harming one of the states most vulnerable population. His other policies harm other vulnerable populations. This is what he intends to do on a national level if given the chance.

The Epstein thing is interesting to watch. On one hand its pretty clear the guy was in no need of blackmailing people, as no one was clamoring to ditch him even after his first conviction. On the other hand, Trump actively losing it about this makes me think if a list existed, he'd be on it.

My biggest fear about democrats right now is that when they do get power back they'll refuse to actually fix anything the previous admin breaks. They've done this before and as a trans person this terrifies me.

If Democrats want even a modicum of respect, they'll go hard at impeachment. They have dozens of legitimate reasons, but this one is so egregious they're likely to get GOP defectors.

$20 Schumer also tries to distance the party from the narrative on Iran while not condemning the action openly and not supporting impeachment because he still thinks the "reach across the aisle" shit is more important than action.
