Had a lovely day and lots of fun yesterday playing boardgames with friends for my brothers 30th birthday. We played Tsuro, Don't be a Dik Dik, Catan, Uk’otoa, and Munchkin: Critical Role.
My first time playing Uk’otoa, and Munchkin: Critical Role and both were great!

Have you confirmed the temperatures with monitoring software such as HWiNFO?
What you've described doesn't sound normal, your CPU shouldn't be doing much while idle (my example with just Firefox open)
