If you REALLY want to turn up the cronch, use a cast iron or ceramic pan, get it hot in the oven first, and melt some butter in there before pouring in your batter

Also try using buttermilk or yogurt in place of liquids in your recipe so that it reacts with the baking soda and creates lift

My mom's favorite way to cook it is "spider bread" (named for the skillet it was originally cooked in) that's cornbread with a custardy layer on top. I loved it as a kid

You can make cornbread savory too and put in stuff like cheese and peppers. Just make sure you don't use a sweet cornbread recipe

You know, of any place online, Tumblr is probably the most understanding about switching up what you post. I have plenty of mutuals I followed for one thing and now they're into something totally different, and that's pretty cool

Okay, serious answer: the perspective that heroes come at all scales, and the world is improved in little ways, by many people doing the best they can. There is no Chosen One to single-handedly save the world; we save ourselves, and each other.

One of the things I really hate about right now is that we're forced to expend ALL THIS ENERGY in defense and survival, when we could've used it for... I dunno, literally anything else

I really, REALLY don't think it's safe. Not just the border and general attitude in the country, but flying itself. We've got a major shortage of competent air traffic controllers due to... STUFF, and there has been an alarming number of crashes recently.
