We're just normal men. Tell your cat I said *slow blinks*
People will still claim he's a genius
Elon Musk, "These lovely small towns in England, Scotland and Ireland, they've been living their lives quietly. They're like hobbits"

"And so one day, 1,000 people show up in your village of 500 and start raping the kids"

"This has now happened, God knows how many times in Britain"

This lot have always existed in one form or another. They used to be against gay marriage, anti drag/camp/femme, or kink at pride but the idea that their deeply bland, conservative approach to being gay is somehow superior remains. They are also never hot.
"Meet the support group for gender-critical gay men: ‘We gather in secret’

"The Edinburgh chapter of Human Gay Male welcomes those who feel that pressure to accept trans men is a just a modern incarnation of old-school homophobia" [Times]

This whole thing reads like he is a victim of circumstances beyond his control despite him choosing to prioritise his bigoted crusade over everything else. Baffling

And they still won't make any profit on it. They lose money on every account even the ones that pay the most so this might make the AI bubble burst sooner

Remember 100,000 of us protested for trans rights in London 4 wks ago

We get more ppl every other week for Palestine solidarity in Cardiff than the fash had at Rhws. There'll be more ppl at Trans Pride Cymru today

But British "journalists" don't care about reporting our concerns. Just the racists'
Times: "Asylum protests swell across the UK " headline, reporting an underwhelming wave.

Leeds "draws 70"
Cardiff "disorganised + small"
Altrincham "*swelled* to around 200"
Cheshunt about 250
Chichester: about 100
Portsmouth: about 70 v 70 on each side

In the UK in 2025 a priest holding a sign saying they support Palestine in the midst of a genocide gets arrested while a thug holding a sign calling for asylum seeks to be killed can stand right in front of the police unbothered
"We hear your worries", "legitimate concerns"? Here's a protestor standing right in front of a policeman with a flag saying "kill them all" (meaning asylum seekers).

Nice try but the Guardian platformed endless transphobic attacks for years and helped shift the overton window so far to the extreme right that tall women can now be harassed at work and their employers will apologise

Why is he even bothering? If you can't have a position on babies being starved, you have no right trying to get into politics
Pod Save America: Do you think it's time to recognize a Palestinian state?

Pete Buttigieg: I think that that's a profound question that arouses a lot of the biggest problems that have happened with Israel's survival, Israel's right to survival, in the diplomatic scene.

So they’ll arrest 474 people for holding signs opposing genocide, but the people trying to burn down immigration centres have legitimate concerns? Is that right? Have I missed something?

Randomly caught the Next Generation episode "Coming of Age" and it's one of those episodes that generates so many questions. Why were there all those actors in the Academy test when holodecks? Did every officer we have ever seen go through this? Even Barclay?

These scenes of public support for Palestinians and the huge numbers are Trans pride in London are so disconnected from what our political and media classes would have you believe. It's actually so dystopian
Sydney turning out in support of Palestine. So good to see.

This Thatcherite nonsense that every public service should be generating profit is why they are all being destroyed one by one. People pay for a service and then that money is used up delivering it. That's not a failure

See also: hyphens. So annoying!
Hard to express how annoying this is - surely after 30 years of the internet, people who make online forms should have figured out that some people’s names (as recorded in their passports) do have special characters?? (Solidarity with my fellow apostrophe owners!)

People drinking from obviously empty cups
What's a continuity error you hate in a movie or tv show?

I'll go first.

Mine is when a movie or show has some kind of countdown with an audible indicator each time the number changes and the scene cuts away from the numbers but keeps the audio going and the sound keep going past zero.

Wes Streeting has no business on anything Pride related. Yes, he has influence and power in the country but he has so far used it against the community and has contributed to the rollback of progress for us all. He should be ashamed, not proud
The Independent’s Pride List is back again, celebrating the LGBT+ community’s biggest pioneers over the past 12 months.

LGBT+ rights have been at the forefront of the political agenda over the past year, but rarely for positive reasons.

Below are just some of the inspiring changemakers featured.
