I'm almost certain this isn't the last I'll draw of Tiberius, but it is the last for now. Look forward to the rest of my Fan Fiction set of the other members of the Longcoats next week and as I finish them.

When I went through the worst year of my life my group was there. When I was most self destructive, there we were. Together and playing games. The Longcoat's pulled Tiberius out of his darkness just like the people behind those characters pulled me from mine. I love these people deeply.

Tiberius was funny, arrogant but also profoundly sad and struggling to understand how the world could take so much from him when all he ever tried to do was the right thing. He was extremely self destructive and needed the friends he made to survive and better himself.

Tiberius as a character came about after a very difficult time in my life. I was struggling with a lot of guilt and grief. So like a lot of dice nerds I poured all of it into my character.

Tiberius here is clean, neat, and powerful. Gone is the Hag's influence, replaced with resolve and hope. Also a new coat. Maybe now Isidora will give him the time of day.

Hence the old look. Tiberius and Puddles had a friendship that filled the void left by his brother and from the very first time he was swallowed by a giant undead bear while Puddles looked on, Tibs knew they'd be fast friends.
The rest of the party stopped letting them go off together.

They stored it in a pocket of accelerated time anchored to Tiberius' right palm. Mostly because a rude severed head told them they'd never be chronomancers.
Showed that guy. Well Puddles did.
While this piece is one of my more recent ones it takes place before the whole arm fiasco.

Also any time you see a non-colored drawing from me, it's because I pulled the plug early. I'll almost always finish the line work but if I'm not invested I'll bounce before the color phase. Which is wild because I put a ton of detail into this one. Sigh.

I always feel weird drawing Tiberius without his coat. Just feels like the vibe is off. I'm not wild about the head/face on this one. I feel like I didn't quite hit the mark.
The arm is pretty cool with straps and visible gears, if I had stuck with it I'm sure it would have gotten some cool tricks.

And hey! Swords are on the right side! It was around this time I picked up the blessed one archetype. Got himself a little divine magic from Daddy Albern.

I love this piece, second only to the most recent one I did. Featured at the end of this series of posts.
This was my tablet home screen for a while. He retained some magic but I wanted it to look different than the Hag magic he used. I went for like a ghostly, fading energy.

It's because no one else had a cool hat to affix it to.

The anatomical study was fun and I really did like the gold veins but oh man was it hard to remember in future pieces.

Moving forward I pretty much decided that he wouldn't really use sleeves with his coat anymore. Opting for the cool dude over the shoulder cape look.

All things being equal I was really disappointed with the clothed version. The side coat was a cool idea that I couldn't really get to work.

He was touched by his God in this moment and granted a single chance. When his body healed he had kind of a Kintsugi type thing going on that I pretty much abandoned in the art going forward. But was kind of cool. His hair and spooky eye changed as well. Kept the eye patch though. Cuz it's cool.
