In Georgia, a mom facing eviction reached out to DFCS for help. They offered her nothing. Soon the agency took her kids away because of "inadequate housing."

The state then paid *$6,200 a month* to house her kids in foster care.

I know she's supported some literacy initiatives in the past, but the best use of MacKenzie Scott's ex-husband's ill begotten funds would be to put them into nonprofit presses, indie bookshops, and libraries.

I've talked to a few folks this morning who were talking about stopping work on their creative projects. Because it's "not important anymore."

I don't know who needs to hear this, but DON'T DO THAT.

We win by living our lives as loudly and truly as we can. That includes your "silly" art project.
