You would have been amused watching me try to walk people through the process of building a table using just SMO back 15 years ago. I did it once, and never again. That said, I still use pure SMO on many occasions to this day.

An article I read indicated that the stolen data was all on a series of Snowflake servers used by Ticketmaster. Makes me really glad my client elected not to move to Snowflake a couple years ago when they were being wined/dined by them. The Snowflake rep was really p.o.'d when they finally said no.

Check out Steve Stedman's site: https://stevestedman.com/

He's the guy who did the data corruption challenge a number of years back, and a lot of us learned a lot more about it through his lessons.

Before I got into databases, I worked with communication protocols to connect cash register systems to computer systems for sales data. (Pre-internet.) The response to any message was either ACK, if it was good, or NAK, if it failed the check. I've responded to many email messages with ACK.

He's really amazing to work with, and he talks about Vienna and Linz quite often, especially when we were preparing the Schubert! He would sing segments to us to demonstrate what he was looking for, and you could see him reliving his childhood moments when doing so.
