Absolutely, I'm a huge fan of their work. The stuff they do best is the British wrestler coverage. I reckon they're key to helping get Daddy back on the ballot.

Agreed. Steve Grey was the darling of the indie folk before Saint as well!

Has to be a comical horn. It's the British way.

Thank you!

Thank you for the support. This is a huge goal for me, I want to prove the historian naysayers wrong.

Get him on the ballot and I will gladly vote for him!

When Princess Diana visited a children’s hospital in 1983, some of the kids asked her if she’d ever met Big Daddy not the other way round.

But he's not even on the ballot, but people still vote for the likes of Adrian Street.

What are we doing here?

Royal Mail workers said letters addressed simply to “Big Daddy – Yorkshire” would still reach him. Kids wrote to ITV demanding wrestlers be punished for “hurting Big Daddy too much”. He even had his own ice lolly, comics and colouring books.

His fame was so ridiculous that schools and village fairs would reschedule events if Big Daddy was wrestling nearby, because nobody would show up. Everyone would be at the town hall or glued to the telly.

WoS was pulling 12–14 million viewers. To put that in perspective, that’s more than Doctor Who, more than anything on the BBC at the time. And in the middle of it all was a 26-stone bloke from Halifax in a sequinned singlet shouting “Easy! Easy!”

ITV audience research in the early 80s showed over 10 million people recognised Big Daddy on sight. That was more than Margaret Thatcher or the Archbishop of Canterbury. This was Saturday afternoon TV warfare, and he was the main attraction.

He can't be denied. I'll be engaging people in the wider UK media to help shine a light on this massive injustice. I won't give up. It's important to me.

Get ready.

I'll then deliver all this to Dave Meltzer, and get 50+ co-signs from historians, writers, ex and current pros as well as people outside of the bubble.

The plan is to get him back on the ballot in 2027 with a view to get home inducted by 2030.

#BigDaddyHoF2030.

No Stone will be unturned.

He'll back back home in a few weeks for Christmas!
