If you want to change Internet culture (and I’ve been online since 1992 so I’m not new) maybe stop letting hate comments remain would be a start.

My husband leaned Canadian progressive conservative when we met (which isn’t far off from the Democratic Party). He now leans left and socially progressive. My big ole barometer with him though was his thoughts on the LGBTQ+ as it was 2003 as my brother is gay, thankfully he was affirming.

I want no one to die except after a living a long good life and peacefully in their sleep at the age of 100 or so. I’ve never even touched a gun. I’m a boring left-wing woman. These peoples’ imaginations and narratives are unhinged.

Seriously! I’ve always thought this, like EDs can have pretty devastating consequences on a growing body (and even fully grown ones too).

Agreed!! This is what gets lost. The bar for trans women to compete is already high! It’s like sporting regulatory bodies have already thought about fairness. Unfortunately there is a narrative that a male athlete decides to become a female athlete just to win when it’s not happening at all.

It happened to my mom too (she’s 75)! She was okay in November and then needed around the clock care in mid-December.
