Aw - thanks! Illustrating holistic learning (particularly akin to Froebelian principles) is one strategy I employ to help spread understanding of play pedagogy, hopefully giving others confidence to recognise & do it!

Thank you a compliment & new vocabulary in a oner!! Holistic learning! Loose seasonal planning serves us well. The children lead as they play, explore & discover & we can extend the learning meaningfully as we have fun.We are ‘recording’ the trees thro art as the seasons change.

We were visiting Edinburgh Castle - and the next day the children, in various ways recreated the experience!

And happily, in 'good' kindergartens the opportunities to do exactly that are there - for up to school age - power, magnetism, forces, physics, mathematical concepts all explored through play. All play provides learning :)
