Mum of 2 girls, youngest has Down’s syndrome. Interests are many but attention span of a gnat. Ex-parent governor, current volunteer in mental health arena.
There was an attempt recently within a PMB brought by Liam Fox, which is now the Down Syndrome Act, to change late abortion law by the back door. The parent led group behind this included the father of the current CEO of TPUK.

Absolutely this, many many panels, their only real aim is to find a way out of giving a service and saving money.

I’m not sure it’s always that, the nature of care work itself can be quite lonely, often in people’s homes where there isn’t a team of people to work alongside, a lack of other perks (like staff discounts in retail), a social life after work maybe. The soft benefits of work often lacking maybe.
