Why do so many feel like they've fallen behind?

It's not because of immigrants, trans people, DEI, the “deep state,” or any other bogeyman trotted out by the GOP.

It's because big corporations and billionaires have rigged markets and siphoned off most of the economy's gains.

Over the last month I've grown increasingly tired of current affairs programmes where the commentators and guests have been speculating on the speculation about the speculation about the budget and then speculated about their own speculation.

My attendance record in the European Parliament was the 4th worst out of 751 MEPs, yet I managed to turn up to vote AGAINST plans to tackle Russian misinformation.
Thankfully this is of no interest to the media.

Our Labour government ARE taxing wealth.

They ARE making the wealthiest in society pay more.

They did it in the last Budget & I expect more tomorrow.

Anyone who says it's not happening is lying to you.

Anyone who promotes phrases like 'tax billionaires' with no details is selling false hope.

I became suspicious when I saw he was writing more right wing comments when they got higher interactions from bots and flagshaggers on the Nazi app (Twitter). Defending a woman jailed for racial hatred was a real low point, but he tried to brush it off. My bullshit detector is rarely wrong.

13k comments on one tweet is a massive payout. All of the tweets follow a certain formula, so the content is likely automated using AI technology (e.g., AI generated images and text). Basically running it as a money printing machine. But for those in the US, it translates to low simmering rage.

Twitter pays people based on engagement (views, retweets, comments, etc). It appears that many MAGA accounts are based abroad and they use AI technology to generate low-effort rage bait.

My guess is that this will get worse as AI tech improves. For instance, fake videos of minorities doing crime.

It makes a loot of sense.

The right wing grifter "voice" is easy to replicate and requires no credentials or skills beyond time, shamelessness, and cruelty.

Twitter payouts for a modestly successful account aren't enough to live off in California, but will feed a family of four in Rajasthan.
I see a lot of Paidchecks on X didn’t realize that a whole lot of people on social media lie about their location to grift off the naïveté of the rage-addled American right.

Turns out this problem is real and it’s a thing those of us who worked on “disinformation” pointed out.

BREAKING: UK’s response to Covid was “too little too late”. Acting faster could have saved 23,000 lives in England according to the public inquiry.

Boris Johnson presided over a “toxic, sexist, chaotic culture” in No10, where rule-breaking seriously undermined public confidence.

It's obvious that the so-called "peace plan" was drafted by Russia.

It certainly didn't have any input from Ukraine.

Perhaps Witkoff made a few minor changes to the text, but there's no doubt that the Trump administration is trying to force Russian demands on Ukraine.

It's an abomination.
According to Republican Senator Mike Rounds, Rubio told senators that the 28-point peace plan drawn up by Special Envoy Steve Witkoff and his Russian counterpart, Kirill Dmitriev, was actually a Russian plan that the U.S. had agreed to pass along to Ukraine.

Boris Johnson's inept handling of Covid demonstrates why electorates living in normal times should vote for governments as if they were living in times of emergency.
