Heartbreaking how this kid can speak so coherently on a day when his mother has been killed and potentially his brother. Just goes to show how immune these children are to the death and destruction going on around them everyday. How can world leaders continue to turn a blind eye to this?

Am I the only one that feels stressed when people say "I could care less" instead of "I couldn't care less"? I don't understand why it's so widely accepted!

I don't think anyone in the UK voted for Brexit because they thought the UK is self sufficient. It was a willing to forgo free trade deals with EU to be able negotiate new trade deals and a promise of an Australia style immigration system over free movement of people across the EU into the UK
this is where the analogy to Brexit is really useful. A similar attitude that the US is completely self-sufficient and needs nothing from anyone. Too bad a lot of innocent people are gonna find out the hard way that this isn’t true.
There are going to be, I believe, a cascade of economic issues this summer related to the tourist industry. Fewer people will come here to travel. Fewer people will come here to work within the industry.
