maybe people can repost this or something, i doubt i have many followers on linux but FYI: if you launch cod black ops cold war on linux you will get a straight up permanent ban. this has been known about for a while on protondb, Activision does not care, and its sadly claimed another victim.

I bought this game on launch but switched to linux about a year ago. All I did was launch the game and I was met with this ban. I submit an appeal and have contacted activision multiple times since, but they have very strongly refused to do anything about it. I have lost hundreds of hours, way too much money than I would care to admit, and all for what? I just wanted to see if the game could run. How should I have knows that this would happen? Many people have said, oh why didn't you check protonDB or areweanticheat? I didn't check that because they hadn't had an update in a long time. They only way those can update is if people (like me) test it. Anyway, I don't expect any of you to be able to do anything about this, but I feel it's important that people know what's going on.This happened a bit ago but there still hasn't been any solution. i had to setup secure boot for bf6 a few days ago and so i decided to use my own custom keys, it was a bit hard until i figured it out properly. it’s wild you have to enable this for a game now.

it’s my first time using double shot pbt, it feels so much better than the abs ones my keyboard came with. the rgb is much better too as a result of more light getting out through the keys.

I have plans on buying an old recorder. I just have a big appreciation for the simplicity of old stuff and how imperfect it is and the aesthetic. It’s cool :)

I’m planning on buying an old camera as well. Also possibly a sim based desk phone I will use whenever but that’s for later. Pic unrelated

📀 I was backing up DVDs recently and came across this movie. I put the disc in and found a movie called Doomed instead of the movie that was supposed to be on it. The peculiar thing is, this exact movie with the same wrong movie on it was found by someone else 14 years ago on filmboards.com.

When I was young, I got lost in a YouTube rabbit hole of right wing content. I don’t know what these people are talking about. Even today YouTube loves to throw you seemingly innocent Joe Rogan podcasts. YouTube can be a gateway to right wing radicalisation, and that’s what they want.
Conservative state legislatures. Under the Trump administration, complaints about the "censorship" of conservative content ramped up, especially around YouTube. Conservative state legislatures, including Texas and Florida, soon started passing laws designed to prevent Google and the big social media companies from exercising viewpoint discrimination. The laws were immediately caught up in litigation that continues to this day, but in July 2024, the Supreme Court ruled against them. Singling out the Texas law, the Supreme Court majority agreed that "it is no job for government to decide what counts as the right balance of private expression—to 'un-bias' what it thinks biased, rather than to leave such judgments to speakers and their audiences. That principle works for social-media platforms as it does for others." Donald Trump, personally. Trump appears to harbor a more personal antipathy toward Google, convinced that the company is somehow screwing him when it comes to search results. Last week, Trump went on TV and launched into a rant against Google, saying: Google, nobody called from Google. I’ve been doing this with High On Life! Such a beautiful game. So many amazing sights and delightful humour.

I got a new ultra wide today (AW3423DWF) for £250 off on EBay and WOW it looks amazing. I thought it was gonna be a scam but sometimes it’s true. It’s never been used, just in storage. Smells brand new too.
