It costs the average taxpayer $34 a year to fund SNAP.

It costs nearly $200 a day to detain an immigrant in an ICE camp.

Your tax dollars are paying to detain people without due process instead of providing healthcare, food & housing.

Let that radicalize you.

Consistently getting way too excited about finding something gluten free and immediately forgetting that I’m also allergic to dairy. #celiacsky

This is heartbreaking but having dealt with the NHS over Long Covid and ME/CFS, I am zero percent surprised.

Thanksgiving makes me homesick, but then I remember that ICE is arresting the spouses of American citizens at their green card interviews, and I feel much better about my choices.

If we aren’t going to tax the rich, we should eat them because our grocery bills are so high.

The 50 wealthiest families own more wealth than the bottom 50% of the population.

How can this Labour Government say this is a "cost of living" budget and refuse to tax the rich?

They care about protecting power and wealth. And cost of living is a buzz phrase for them. Dire.

Because I don’t have the time or energy to cook Thanksgiving this year (and I have to work), we are going British and having some M&S festive picky bits! I don’t know if I’m excited or distraught by this development.

Which of my chronic illnesses is giving my crippling hand pain? Or is it a new one? Or maybe I just have old bones? #NEISvoid

Having long covid is spending a chunk of Sunday evenings filling weekly pill boxes with loads of off target meds, including some homespun ones from a clinical trial, hoping they'll finally work at least a little but knowing they probably won't. I'm hopeful but realistic 🩵

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

We had a hell of a morning, so we treated ourselves to a gluten free beer. Look how cute my little muddy beast was being at the taproom. #dogsky

No, I still haven’t gone to bed even though I’m completely crashed out because I need to stare at the wall and dissociate for at least an hour after this wretched week. #chronicillness #NEISVoid

Just an annual reminder that the rich in America take way more government money in the form of tax breaks than poor and middle class people take in “entitlement programs”. Who the fuck cares if someone gets food stamps that doesn’t need them? The cost is so negligible compared to the tax breaks.

After a single day of working on my feet yesterday, I unsurprisingly had one of the worst PEM crashes today that I’ve experienced in months. Not really sure how I’m going to get through this holiday season. #chronicillness #mecfs

Celiac: Get that gluten away from my home!
Dairy allergy: Maybe I’ll cool it on the cheese. But garlic dip isn’t really dairy is it? I mean, a tiny bit of sour cream won’t hurt.

Hey #chronicillness darlings! Is there a good gluten free feed to follow? I’m recently diagnosed Celiac and need to know where to find all the gluten free desserts.
