Keep things private because there are people out there waiting to sabotage your progress. Often it’s not your enemies you have to worry about but those who smile to your face but have different intentions behind your back. Be mindful.

You might recite Quran all day. Pray in congregation. Hurt no one. And still have problems. It’s a reminder that, as a believer, you should not expect absolute happiness in this Dunya. For hereafter is better than the present.
