I just made this one. I will be donating it to a hospice center once I finish the shawl I'm knitting. I also made a hat with the leftover yarn, but if I had foresight, I would have bought some white for the top and the hat would look like candy corn. Hat is also going to the hospice place.

I have discovered my next retirement task. Apparently, I will need to dig up my husband and reanimate him, so I can kill him. He blamed me for losing the Arvo Pärt CD, which I found this morning while looking through his travel CD case for something to listen to. 🤬

Had a great week+ in my favorite city, watching my dog nephews, while my sister and BIL visited Iceland. Spring in Chicago is delightful. Didn't get a chance to order pizza, but the gyros was top notch!

First trip to New York City did not disappoint! Eating and walking and more walking and more eating.

While the ornamental cherry in back will soon be more showy, I sort of prefer the tiny blooms on the ornamental plum. Bonus house finch - her mate flew off when I was trying to photograph his red head. Happy first (full) day of Spring! (Inside joke from the pedantic former coworkers.)
