You've inspired me to dust these off and have a play through. So enjoyable! I wish Blanche had made an illustration of a fully kitted out magic user (e.g. wearing a green wig, cloth skullcap, black facemask, gold medallion, all sorts of spell artefacts dangling from belts, buckles and bandoliers).

I was so surprised to beat Strider as a kid, and not at all surprised to barely be able to get past the first level in middle age.
