People love, love, love the fake attempt conspiracy and will not give it up. Plus, it’s weird enough to sustain doubt about any official explanation.

I've been telling people point blank (yet politely, I think) this is not the time and place and that they are intruding.
There's this trap where polite people put up with rude behavior at the cost of their own time and focus. They take advantage of this. It's not OK. Don't do this.

I just watched a pair of men go through a place of business and, after interrupting each and every customer to give testimonials about Jesus and ask for money, proceeded to engage the staff who were busy doing their jobs.
But they weren't asked to stop or leave.
