I am a keynote speaker, virtual event expert, and a video meeting advisor. I have had a checkered career in the technology industry, where I have spent most of my time explaining complex concepts to people in ways that they can put them to practical use.
Basic math appears to elude this entire Administration, starting with the President.

Right. That's a great idea. Because we know how skilled the US citizens are at saving for a rainy day. And doctors are trained on actuarial risk management starting on Day One of med school.

I can't see any reason why that wouldn't work.

#sarcasm (Do I need to add that?)

...and they didn't have the people for the eight months BEFORE the shutdown?

That's okay; they'll still have the full plan ready to go in two weeks....

I've been listening to a lot of "how empires ended" podcasts, and the parallels to our current situation is unsettling.

One of the causes shows up repeatedly; destroy your international markets and supply chains.

Simply rescind the big tax breaks; that will cover it, no problem. (Though you might want to un-defund the IRS so someone is around to collect those taxes.)

Just because Congress passed those tax breaks doesn't mean that you have to follow the law any more than you have with any other budget item.

He's right! Obama was convicted of 34 felonies by a jury of his peers.

Oh, hold on. I think I have the wrong guy.

Suing because law enforcement looked at Senators' phone records is okay to put in the CR, but helping citizens with health insurance is not?

One of those is a life-and-death issue. The other is not. How can you justify this?

A "deal" without consequences is not a deal.

Yup, this President is all about stopping waste, fraud, and abuse.

...or maybe not....
November 11, 2025 at 4:50 PM
The White House staff might want to look into putting parental controls on the President's Internet access....

You're not wrong, but I still feel betrayed (especially by my Senator @fetterman.senate.gov).
November 10, 2025 at 10:17 PM
...and we'll have a fully functional plan ready for you in two weeks....
November 10, 2025 at 10:16 PM
Right... It was Biden who did all those tarrifs along with the deportation of key workers in construction, healthcare, hospitality, farming....
November 10, 2025 at 10:14 PM
You're not wrong, but if we were to tax from $10 million and up, it would probably bring in almost as much money (what's the SS tax on $1 trillion, Elon?) without triggering tax evasion and flight to other countries at the lower levels.

I'm okay with leaving the cap in place, but then restarting it once your annual income is greater than $10 million. At that level, you should be fine paying the extra for Social Security and Medicare.

Thune wants to fast-track the votes, so we might not have much time to act.
November 10, 2025 at 5:43 PM
Ah, so this is how we encourage foreign investment in US manufacturing.

I'm no expert, but this doesn't sound like a very effective strategy....
November 10, 2025 at 5:39 PM
If @fetterman.senate.gov gets primaried by a tree stump, I will vote for the stump. And I do vote, every time!
November 10, 2025 at 5:37 PM
Shameful.
November 10, 2025 at 11:58 AM
I stand with Newsom.
November 8, 2025 at 9:09 PM
Congressional Republicans continue to prove that they can't be trusted. Health insurance is out of bounds for a CR, but abortion bans are okay?

Wake me when they get serious about trying to govern.
November 8, 2025 at 9:07 PM
Where the #$@+!!! is Congressional oversight? This has to be illegal, and DoJ is probably applauding.
