Merry Christmas from Raine, one of our little hens. She is so cute and she adores sitting inside on my lap. She thinks our house is hers! Hope you're having a wonderful day ❤️🐔💚

I have just watched Megan Park's film #MyOldAss and I absolutely love it. It might be my film of the year. It's funny, deep in the way Groundhog Day was deep, and it made me cry. It's so beautiful, set around a cranberry farm and a lake, and it made me happy. Watch on @amazonprime.bsky.social

Getting ready for Christmas. The seemingly blood-spattered note (it's sealing wax) is from our household elves, who have been visiting since the kids were little 💚🎄❤️

Elon Musk is the first person in history to hoard at least $400 Billion in capital and resources, while more than half of the US live paycheck to paycheck while paying taxes that make Musk wealthier.

Musk & Trump plan to slash the dwindling benefits the average USian gets.

If there were 38 shootings that injure or kill a CEO in 2025 instead of school shootings we would have robust national gun reform before July 4.

Crazy winds and rain tonight from another Pineapple Express (atmospheric river by way of Hawaii) flowing across the Bay Area. I love hearing the sounds of primal weather...until the power goes out! Hopefully not tonight 💡

I'm back after a break. Feeling a really cool weekend, just chillin with the family. Hope you are all good. Sorry if I haven't followed you back yet. Part of my brain is shut down in training for what's to come! Be happy, be free, be fierce! ❤️💚❤️🤩❤️

Our beautiful friend and lovebird of 16 years died today suddenly at the vet. We knew Miso had a tumor and time was short but the vet took him to drain some fluid then reappeared saying, I'm afraid Miso's stopped breathing. We loved him so much. We’d had so many adventures, on boats, at the beach...

Life right now leaves me pretty much speechless. Nothing in my life (aside from the past eight years, which is a small part of it) has prepared me for the insanity we are about to live through. We seem to have been overrun by aliens, and not the smartest ones by far 👽

I love this 1964 painting of Ed Ruscha's, Standard Station, Ten-Cent Western Being Torn in Half. It sold yesterday at auction in New York for $68.26 million. I just love its sense of space, the bold diagonal design and the floating half-torn western magazine. It makes me happy moma.org

Don't forget the poorest, who have no wealth at all. I know it's a vast social problem, but my heart sinks when I see people whose "wealth" is a tarp, a cardboard box or a shopping cart. They had lives once, parents, friends, siblings. We don't want to see them but they're a few steps away from us.

America's richest 10% now hold 60% of the nation's wealth.

The bottom half of America? It holds just 6%.

Wealth inequality is eating this country alive.

The bomb cyclone/atmospheric storm over the North Bay today is pretty dramatic. Woke up to a power cut, a longer one about an hour ago and rain thundering on the roofs. Fun stuff 💦💦🌧️
