It drives me nuts. The Telegraph, Mail, Sun etc and the politicians they sponsor like Johnson, Farage, Cameron & Truss got everything they wanted for fourteen of the last fifteen years & only now, with Labour in power for *less than one*, do they acknowledge the damage they have done. It’s sick.

It is extraordinary, but grimly inevitable, that the people most responsible for hobbling the UK have become the loudest & whiniest critics of the consequences of their own actions. A big part of the process lies in people like ‘Lord’ Hannan actually being *rewarded* for their ignorant delinquency.

Because some damn fool asked, here's a thread about Baxter.

This was taken on the day I brought home Baxter and threw away all hope of an easy life.

Look at him. Absolutely irresistible.

And that's how they get you, the utter bastards

The country is flat on its back, and some people seem to think that’s the fault of a govt who have been in power for six months rather than the previous govt of fourteen years. Urgh.

Some thoughts on 5 years since leaving the EU. Thread...

The obvious bits:

1. It was a mistake
2. It's been economically damaging.
3. The process from 2016 catalysed a radicalisation of the British Right, the first flickers of which began during the Blair years/higher EU immigration. /1

Max Eisen was a Hungarian Jew. His family were sent to Auschwitz. His mother, grandparents and siblings were separated from him on the platform and were murdered & incinerated within minutes.

He was 15. He survived by working in the infirmary.

here's what you'd do if it was an "awkward gesture":

"I apologise unreservedly for the gesture I made during my speech today. I see that it has been interpreted by neo-Nazis as a white power salute and I am horrified. That is not my ideology and I am ashamed to be associated with it."
put it this way, it's not a hand signal you'd do if you very much wanted people *not* to think you are a Nazi
