We had a lunatic city council candidate in denver who’s platform was basically “let’s get free” but she wanted to impose a construction moratorium on the entire city—and like I think freedom to her just meant drinking with her friends at Capitol Hill bars 5 nights a week for eternity.

I think Chuck Schumer should retire and not be the leader anymore—but like also it’s kinda crazy how most of the criticism on Bluesky starts from the belief that the filibuster and budget bill can undo the 2024 election and that’s just not true.

The kids are actually not that stunted, be wary of the lure of “this generation” thinking for whatever reason—it’s all pretty much adults just getting old and forgetting what it’s like to be an adolescent because the only thing that really changes with each generation is the slang and the clothes
i like how the one example we have of mass scale homeschooling was the pandemic and it was a complete disaster that burnt out every parent on earth and resulted in half a generation being socially and intellectually stunted forever
