I wonder if they thought hey it would be really cool if we could get loads of our people accidentally killed by a really dangerous alien because then at least we would have a) found out about aliens, and b) been able to make a movie out of it.

1. Given that while an infinite universe predicts Aliens… maybe everyone should be a bit more surprised there are aliens, but I guess if they are in a movie called Alien it isn’t that surprising.

I think if it 100% made sense it wouldn’t be as interesting.
