This should change the technical planning decisions of every forward-thinking company in AWS as well. Before this, you could assume services in preview would eventually make it to GA and plan your product development accordingly. Not anymore.

A bit shocking to think AWS would make the investment to build something, make it available to customers, and create an expectation of this being promoted to supported feature *before* they had thought through the business reasoning behind it.

In over 10 years of building on AWS this is the first time I've seen them discontinue a service or feature that was in preview.
