Checked out the New York Transit Museum and found subway ads from the 1940s with some eerily similar vibes.
A subway ad that reads “NOTICE TO ALIENS OF ENEMY NATIONALITIES” with instructions requiring people of German, Italian, and Japanese ancestry to register. A subway ad that asks citizens to sign up for “SKYWATCH” a ground observer corps to observe for Soviet attacks.
