Edinburgh, Glasgow, Aberdeen and elsewhere, this is where the future lies. Scotland needs to stop arsing about with roads and start building public transport infrastructure for the future.
Perhaps the smartest #ClimateAction investment in cities is in public transit. While others make excuses, Paris is building a WHOLE NEW METRO NETWORK CONNECTING SUBURBS.

To increase walking and cycling we need to change behaviour radically. White lines on roads are not enough. The whole urban road structure would have to be rebuilt. Certain types of car would be discouraged. On street parking removed. It’s a massive project.

I'm guessing it's a lazy attempt to stop rat running by motorcycles.
But manages to make it almost impossible for legit users with mobility scooters or pushchairs, let alone cycling.
