Why did no one ever told me that napping helps with crankiness and general existencial dispair?

I'm really sad for the #switch2. Just because of all the cool games that I will never have time to play

Suggesting inferiority of people who lack deep understanding of a complex piece of media doesn't make you sound intellectual, you're just being an asshole.

In 25 years of covering national security, I’ve never seen a story like this: Senior Trump officials discussed planning for the U.S. attack on Yemen in a Signal group--and inadvertently added the editor-in-chief of The Atlantic. www.theatlantic.com/politics/arc...
The Trump Administration Accidentally Texted Me Its War Plans
U.S. national-security leaders included me in a group chat about upcoming military strikes in Yemen. I didn’t think it could be real. Then the bombs started falling.

Tinkering around for fun, a computer science undergrad realized that he had invented a new kind of hash table, one that worked faster than expected—taking less time and fewer steps to find specific elements.
Undergraduate Disproves 40-Year-Old Conjecture, Invents New Kind of Hash Table
A young computer scientist and two colleagues show that searches within data structures called hash tables can be much faster than previously deemed possible.

ugh I hope nobody leaks one of these to a reporter! especially not one with Signal, such as meganfarokhmanesh.76, at a publication with great policies for protecting sources, like WIRED
The coolest part about games media layoffs is how all the severance packages now include an NDA requiring laid off employees to stay silent about the layoff, further suppressing reporting on the same corporate behaviours those outlets likely cover when it’s dame devs/publishers.

They're called public records for a reason. Starting today, WIRED will *stop paywalling* articles that are primarily based on public records obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, becoming the first publication to partner with @freedom.press to offer this for our new coverage.
Wired is dropping paywalls for FOIA-based reporting. Others should follow
As the administration does its best to hide public records from the public, Wired magazine is stepping up to help stem the secrecy

The typescript effect library is my life now. Once again, I'm obssesed with a technology too sophisiticated for my needs, which I don't have time to learn and no opportunities to use it for work.

I was told yesterday that it's normal for men to be unpunctual, and that my I'm not because of my feminine side being more developed.

Taking out how utterly sexist that was, I was more baffled by the audacity of justifying your laziness because of your gender... wow.
