Reading 'Thumbelina' again in Odense, two things strike me: 1. The title refers to H.C. Andersen's story 'Thumbelina' which differs from 'Tom Thumb'. Thumbelina tells the story of a girl who doesn't want to marry whoever is suggested to her. With the help of a swallow she flees to a far land.
