Today’s OSINT conference at USC was nothing short of amazing. So cool to listen to talented folks nerd out about journalism. Very inspiring and I’m so full of ideas. Can’t wait for more tomorrow.

People outside of LA truly don’t understand how apocalyptic this is. It’s worse than it’s ever been. Entire residential neighborhoods are burning to the ground.

Why "we" want insurance executives dead
No, that does not mean people should murder them. But if you've watched a loved one suffer and die from insurance denial, it's normal to wish the people responsible would suffer the same fate.

Please, don’t rebuild you cis-white-male-centered framing here on Bluesky. That framing is what has failed at Birdsite, in journalism and our democracy.

I think it's bonkers that at the end of 2024 "entry-level" reporting jobs are still asking for 5+ years of experience.

Also, I hate calling them skeets.

Yes. If their ideas were actually "challenging" that would be interesting and worth engaging with. But they're not. They're just annoying, especially as so much of it is based on misrepresenting things over and over that take a while to show why they're misrepresented.
People getting blocked act like it’s because people are too challenged or offended by their ideas or something but maybe it’s just because you’re annoying.

The question everyone seems to not be asking is how does RFK know what poppers are? Is she a connoisseur? Does she prefer the brown bottle over rush? Just things to ponder since the claims are nonsense.
“”100% of the people who died — the first thousand who had AIDS were people who were addicted to poppers,” Kennedy (falsely) told an audience of supporters in a video posted by the watchdog social media account PatriotTakes in 2023.”
Just a Reminder That RFK Jr. Thinks Poppers Cause AIDS
Trump’s pick for Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services also has claimed that chemicals in water turn kids gay and refers to puberty blockers as “castration drugs.”
