Custom RSS feed creator is in beta!

Would anyone into #RSS feeds (or from #rstats community) like to give this whirl and provide any feedback? No signup or anything, just go to blognerd.app.

Is this something? I feel like this might be something #rstats #rss

This was actually a bug, searches were being limited to the last month. Now you get a few much better matches for ellmer. Let me know if there are any posts you would expect to see for this that don't appear though!

A total overhaul to blognerd.app .... I'm quite happy with the results, and already finding it useful.

✨ surf blogs that are similar to other blogs
↔ find posts similar to other posts
🔎 search (of course)
⬇️ export RSS feeds as OPML, CSV

Have a go and let me know what you think!

Testing out my new toy - (non destructive) document scanner - from CZUR. Quality is great. Stacks of ancient cycling magazines to get through.

0.34 Wh per ChatGPT query, according to Altman himself. Not the point of the post, but (after trying to find hard stats on it earlier in the year) it's the part that jumped out to me.

weird one. flipped over to gpt-5 series of models and suddenly started using a lot more output tokens versus input - like millions more.

A simple thing I like - blaze newsletters now contain relevance filtered sections from company tech blogs. Example here is for the GenAI newsletter.

reminder that you can search all 50k+ blog sites (posts too!) at blognerd.app. I forget about it from time to time even though I made it for myself 😅

But I think it's really cool to be able to find other people and their writing in really specific niches you are interested in.

Since Google took over Fitbit, the app has got worse and worse. This graphic in the app is an example. Completely meaningless.

Ever wanted an easy way to search for niche blogs on some topic you care about? Well this might be of interest....

blognerd's blog search just got a big boost - just upgraded to VoyageAI's latest + greatest embeddings, and so far the performance is really good...

I finally wrapped up and submitted to PyPi this little set of #python pandas methods for summarising dataframes (like inspectdf if any #rstats -ers remembers / used that). It's a little bit rough around the edges, so forgive any bugs!

I've been working on search for blogs (both for sites and posts) for a while, and have decided to spin it out as its own project. It's still basically a streamlit app - but is now open source.
