Ferry workers say that even crossing Taku Inlet in the winter, with the Takus howling, can be as gnarly as the Gulf of Alaska.

I miss the Wickersham. She had wings to cut down on rocking and was the fastest in the fleet. She was replaced by the problem-plagued Columbia, thanks to the Jones Act.
