Two goals tonight for Garang Kuol playing for the U21s in the National League Cup. Think that’s five goals and an assist in 7 games. #nufc

So I’ve decided to split my Bluesky accounts into work and social. If you are looking for infrastructure stuff I’m @alreisnerceca.bsky.social. Here is going to be mainly NUFC to be honest…

This mostly tells you Network North was a load of nonsense. Bunch of random schemes thrown together using ‘savings’ that didn’t exist. Labour were never going to make them all stack up. Infrastructure strat going to be an interesting read. A focus on maintenance/renewal not a bad thing for roads

Pretty disappointing stuff today in the Times, highlighting narrowing pipeline of future rail projects. Story slightly undermined by suggestion schemes in Network North were anything other than vapourware conjured up as figleaf to cover cancellation of HS2 phase 2 www.thetimes.com/business-mon...

Not a bad stadium to kick off 2025. Good to see Sven Botman starting. #nufc

At the risk of looking pompous I've put together a short podcast that covers what I think are some of the key issues for the UK infrastructure sector in the year to come. It is available on:

So, given it’s a bit quiet here in terms of construction & infrastructure people, I thought I’d take a stab at a starter pack. Hope this works, and welcome any additions/suggestions

Morning, still a few weeks to go until we pay tribute to the most important man in the recent history of Newcastle United.

To do this justice we need your support.

All donations and shares of this post are much appreciated. 🏁

It's come to my attention that some of you might not be aware of this thing.

And whilst this account generally specialises in the more aesthetically challenged end of the maritime spectrum, it will happily throw it all out of the window in order to gawp at Turbinia again.

JUST LOOK AT IT!

Nice piece, and good to see Miles arriving on Bluesky #nufc
A transfer to Newcastle wasn’t always a great career move for young players with England aspirations.
Not now. Lewis Hall is just the latest example of a new generation of English players who are progressing for club AND country on Tyneside.

What Lewis Hall's England call says about Newcastle United
Lewis Hall's England call-up says a lot about Eddie Howe's Newcastle United team – and the club's direction since the takeover.

Amazing app - a great tool to find those with similar interests to your existing follows, who may not have appeared in starter packs, etc
My app for finding 🦋 accounts you may want to follow has had a make-over: it now displays names and bios, and allows adding an "app password" for direct follow buttons in the listing

Bluesky Network Analyzer
Find accounts that you don't follow (yet) but are followed by lots of accounts that you do follow.
