The easy solution would be for the court admin to go through the motions of FOIA without being subject to it. Do what all other agencies do across the state. Separate exempt from non exempt material.

Yeah, that would be a major improvement. I'll put it on my list

Young, our new chief admin judge in CHS and Berkeley counties, granted a request from The Post and Courier to allow **all media** to use their laptops, cell phones and electronic devices during Charleston court proceedings.

Cameras and recording devices still require permission from judges.

This reporting took most of the late summer and the fall to figure out the best way to tell the story of how North Charleston, Charleston and the broader Lowcountry fits into the tapestry of hip-hop.

I hope you read this work from Indi'Gxld, Kalyn Oyer and myself. ✌️

Why hasn't someone from the Lowcountry made it big like J. Cole or DaBaby? The stories and sound can't be found elsewhere. This question remains unresolved 25 years into the scene's life.

But, today's scene brims with an energy pushing towards unity, and the hope of a breakthrough moment.
At 50th anniversary of hip-hop, where is the Charleston scene headed?
It's the 50th anniversary of hip-hop, but what does the future of the genre look like in the Lowcountry?
