I was real curious about this one. I still want to pick it up. And agreed, re: the Royal Guard. Would love more stories about them.

I know, and I thought when I heard 4 was in the pipe that it was unnecessary, but they did get me. 4 hit right as, personally, I was dealing with those issues once my daughter was out of school. Trying to figure out my place as a father, what happens next, etc. It slotted right in there for me.

Don't give Amazon any ideas, Brendan, or we'll see a 8 issue miniseries that ends with Oddjob putting the hat on as the music swells and we fade to black.

I was expecting TOY STORY 4 to not work, so I was happily wrong about that, and I'm willing to be wrong about 5. But if the series loses that thematic parental angle, it's lost something precious to me. My kid grew up with these movies and so did I as a parent. If that's gone, I'm gone.

I really loved 4, and was very surprised by how poignant I found it.

I think the Xenomorph is mostly played out (I haven't seen ALIEN EARTH yet, so could be talking crap) but the idea of other aliens in this universe makes this much more interesting to me.
