Everyone in the online film community has a Patton Oswalt story, and I do mean everyone. I have several myself. I've interviewed him, and even solicited a review from him (with @drewmcweeny.com's help). You fuck with Patton, you're fucking with a bunch of us.

Reinstate Patton. Now.

In case you're curious, Patton Oswalt got suspended after making a joke about Megyn Kelly's defense of pedophiles. (I guess the mods never saw FARGO.) Solidarity for Patton, and those who suspended him should reevaluate their sad lives.

I'll leave Bluesky, no fuss, no muss. Reinstate Patton.
Solidarity for Patton.

Kevin Smith movies I love, in order:
CLERKS
DOGMA
CHASING AMY
CLERKS 2 (I know it’s popular to hate on, but I truly love it.)

Ones I like:
MALLRATS
J&SB STRIKE BACK
JERSEY GIRL
ZACK AND MIRI MAKE A PORNO

No, just no:
CLERKS 3 (it’s awful. Just bad.)

Hey, if you know ANYTHING about this, please help identify the driver in this hit-and-run. They just killed a very old and dear friend of mine and I am shattered by this news.

I'm not one of those that will stay up past midnight to watch when the new PLURIBUS drops, but... it has crossed my mind.

OH FUCK YES. This song rocks. Isbell played it last Friday in Houston and it blew the roof off.

The Houston Film Critics Society is hosting another screening at the River Oaks Theatre December 10th, and we're screening the unlikeliest Christmas movie - Mads Mikkelsen is out for revenge in RIDERS OF JUSTICE! I adore this movie. Tickets here: www.theriveroakstheatre.com/movie/RiverO...

These emails just confirm to me that this country was built on exploitation, murder, and rape, and it never really stopped.

You want me to be patriotic for that? Go to hell. I'd eat marshmallows roasted off a burning flag if all the fire prevention chemicals didn't make the 'mallows taste funny.

Slasher, cosmic, supernatural, Gothic, sci-fi (not the same as cosmic), found footage, vampire, zombie, werewolf, Hammer.
If you had to narrow the horror subgenres down to the ten most important, what would they be?

Benoit Blanc is such a great character name. It can mean "Blessed and good" or "Special and empty".

I was hoping someone would interview them. Overjoyed that it’s Carlos.
I interviewed the Mexican American skaters from El Paso, Texas who appear in ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER. For LA Times’ De Los, we talked about their experience working on a major film and collaborating with PTA, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Benicio del Toro: www.latimes.com/delos/story/...

When does the next PLURIBUS drop? Bluesky hive mind?
November 12, 2025 at 1:51 AM
Exactly. The Connerys (along with Lazenby's one shot) feel different from the Moores feel different from the Daltons feel different from the Brosnans feel different from the Craigs. Audiences rolled with it every time. They'll roll with the next one. Just play with the iconography, we'll get it.
If you're having trouble sorting out the continuity of James Bond, that suggests to me that you do not understand the enduring appeal of James Bond. Continuity is not that franchise's strong suit. It's been soft rebooted repeatedly, and everyone understands. Dumb People Problems.

The TOY STORY films work best as symbolic of the parent experience - and 4 was surprisingly poignant in that regard, about how parents adjust when the kids leave the house and grow up. But unless TOY STORY 5 is about the toys going into a retirement home, this towel's just about wrung out.

TOY STORY 3: Good ending. Probably shouldn’t make another one.

TOY STORY 4: Wow, that was a great ending. They REALLY SHOULDN’T make another one.

TOY STORY 5: My corporate overlords have spoken. Reporting for advertisement consumption.

I read "riot cop" as "not cop" and I like that interpretation
Really wish I had gotten a better shot of this but holding a phone that says “who else was just ‘following orders’?” up to a riot cop is hard as hell

Audiences have rolled with different Bond iterations since the first time. Not trying to knock other writers, but... if this is a problem for you, you really shouldn't write Bond stories.
