Happy New Year. I've had this account for a while but keep forgetting to use it. I'm a sapphic trans woman living in Lancashire, UK. I'm an app developer and like sci-fi/fantasy, especially Doctor Who. I like to do abstract painting in my spare time.

I just downed an ENTIRE pre-packaged latte from the corner shop in one go! Thankfully I just got a whole pack of lactase in the post.

Busy day today. Got some new clothes so I can look good for my interview next week, followed by a lovely evening being incredibly nerdy, helping my girlfriend build her website. My other girlfriend joined the call a few times to chat while we were debugging code.

This is the standard NHS response to withdrawal of trans healthcare. After my shared care got cancelled weeks before starting hormones (and being very clearly transphobic in the appointment when I challenged it) they sent me a referral for talking therapy, which I only needed because of them.
A distressed sixteen year old sends an impassioned letter explaining how fear of the withdrawal of her gender affirming care has left her suicidal.
But it’s ok, NHS Sussex ICB are on it with a dedicated helpline. That should fix things. The evidence for the efficacy of helplines is legendary.

This is an absolutely magnificent insult for a certain type of person that we've all encountered too often (this was Kemi Badenoch, but there are plenty of others).
